What can you do with a flip phone?
Thanks to everyone who came out to last night's happy hour social at Gossip's. As much fun as we all have together at meetings, at roadside cleanup, at our senior holiday luncheon and at any number of parades, it's was fun to get together in a social setting where we could enjoy a couple of drinks without worrying about Linda wandering into the middle of a country music performance. I suspect there will be more of these gatherings, so watch this space. Or, you know, future spaces that look something like this space.
This week
We've got a club assembly meeting today. Come hang out and find out all the latest about what's happening with Farmington Rotary. Or, come for lunch and get the information, fellowship and good times as a bonus.
Next week
Next week we'll hear from our own Jamie Thompson, who will talk about Rotary's youth protection policy. It's a timely discussion with our annual STRIVE program set to kick off next week as well. All STRIVE mentors should go through the process Jamie will explain next week, and it's not a bad idea for other club members to go through it if they're likely to participate in youth-related activities such as Farmington High School's Games for Change, which we've been known to do.
Anybody missing a cooler?
Many Rotarians were generous enough to allow use of their coolers during Ramble Jam. Apparently not all Rotarians were aware enough to bring those coolers home when everything was all over. If you're missing a cooler that looks like one of the bottom two in this photo, then there's a pretty good chance that's your cooler. If you're missing a cooler that looks like a Dalek from Doctor Who, we probably can't help you but I might like to know where you got that cooler. If you're interested in anything else in this photo, talk to Chris. Maybe he'll make you a deal.
Seniors need lunch, too
Please don't show up at Celts for our Dec. 15 meeting. There won't be any other Rotarians there. Instead, please show up at St. Michael's Catholic Church to help with our annual senior holiday luncheon. If you can, come early to help us get everything set up.
If you've never taken part, the luncheon is a lot of fun. It's especially fun if you've ever dreamed of working as a server in a restaurant. And who hasn't, am I right?
Hosting duties
Tom and John are coasting toward the end of their hosting responsibilities for February. Two down, two to go.

Pam and Brian are busy planning an amazing lineup of speakers for March, as well as trying to figure out how they will hang the banners from the ceiling each week.

Please email your speaker information to Corey, Linda and Heidi. Because inquiring minds want to know.
