Jan. 11 meeting: Students of the Month
Farmington Rotary's Jan. 11 meeting brings the return of our monthly students-of-the-month recognition. Madison Spencer from Farmington High School and Maya Slifko from Riverview Elementary School will join us at noon at Celt's in downtown Farmington and share how they put Service Above Self. Come and hear from these amazing young people who so generously give of their time and talents to our community. Guests are encouraged to attend this inspiring meeting.
Jan. 18 meeting: Transformational Life Coaching
Bring a guest to our Jan. 18 meeting and kick off 2018 with an inspirational jolt that sets you on the path to success this year. Nada Hogan is a DreamBuilders Life Coach and a nationally certified acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner. Nada will help us discover the critical ingredients for extraordinary, consistent success, and how we can transform our dreams into reality.
STRIVE returns to regular meeting time
STRIVE returns to its original meeting time of 10:45 a.m. at Farmington High School on Thurs., Jan. 11. STRIVE stands for, "Students Taking Renewed Interest in the Value of Education. District Mid-term Rally
The District 5960 Mid-term Rally takes place this Sat., Jan. 13, and our own President Krysia Moe is serving on a panel about membership. Did you know that Farmington Rotary is unusual because our membership is more than 50 percent female and extraordinarily young for a Rotary Club? Farmington Rotary ain't your father's Rotary Club, that's for sure!

Some of us are going to the rally to support Krysia. Others are going to throw spitballs at her. Either way, Farmington Rotary is showing up, so sign up and show up with us!
  • Sat., Jan. 13
  • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Hamline University in St. Paul
  • Lunch is included
  • Cost: FREE!
  • Register and directions here
Help needed for Community EXPO Jan. 27
The Farmington Community EXPO is Sat., Jan. 27 at Farmington High School from 9 a.m. to noon. Farmington Rotary will exhibit at the EXPO and we could use at least one more Rotarian to help in our booth. So far, only Lori has offered to help. Please consider volunteering if you aren't already there on behalf of your own business. The EXPO gives our club the opportunity to promote our projects, membership and Ramble Jam.
Contact Linda if you can volunteer that morning. And thanks for all you do for Rotary.
Final 2017 donations report
It's such good news I'm going to keep this in The Source. I'm the editor, so I get to do that. When I'm no longer the editor, if you step up to the plate and volunteer for the job then you get to decide what makes the newsletter and what doesn't. But for now, I have that power. And I intend to keep reminding all of us that Farmington Rotary donated more than $58,000 last year to programs and projects that change lives and make a difference. See a detailed report here.

Thank you for your support of Farmington Rotary. Please know that your efforts matter to those we serve.
