Our Volunteers of the Year from Trinity Care Center are Gary and Karen Betters!
Karen and Gary Betters are Trinity Care Center's Volunteers of the Year for their faithful service, compassion, and dedication to residents. Each week, they bring music, hope, and encouragement, creating meaningful connections with residents and staff. Karen, a lifelong musician, is known for giving personal attention to residents and making each person feel valued and loved.
Their service is rooted in faith, humility, and a genuine desire to help others, especially residents in their final days. Gary became involved through a family connection, and volunteering has since become a family affair, with their children and grandchildren also serving. Together, Karen and Gary exemplify selfless volunteerism and enrich the lives of everyone at Trinity Care Center.
This Week: Jason Viana - The Open Door
The Open Door is Dakota County’s largest hunger relief organization, powered by neighbors helping neighbors. They make sure everyone who needs it has access to the freshest, healthiest food – delivered with dignity and care. Each month, they serve 25,000 people across Dakota County, and in 2024, they distributed more than 4.5 million pounds of food. They focus solely on fresh, perishable, and nourishing options, with over 75% of the food we distribute being fresh.
Diaper Drive
Northfield Rotary is working with Rice County's Community Action Center for their "Bottoms Up" project. Their goal is to raise $50,000 (or a semi truck) of Diapers! Please bring in a $5-$20 to donate to this cause!
School Supple Drive
Please bring school supply items or cash this week to help Pam McCarthy fill the bus for Farmington Schools!
