March 22 meeting: Beyond Books
A library is where you can check out a book, right? And where you can check out a movie. And where you can even "check out" a digital book for your Kindle or Nook. And where you can print out a 3D version of (fill-in-the-blank here....) _________.

Wait. What? Print a 3D copy of something? Yes, and so much more! Join us on Thursday, March 22 to learn about all of the things we can do at the library besides check out books. Barb Svoboda, branch manager at the Farmington Public Library, will update our vision of libraries for the 21st century. Join us at noon at Celt's Pub in downtown Farmington.
March 29 meeting: Sheriff Tim Leslie
As the 20th sheriff of Dakota County, Sheriff Tim Leslie strives to keep Dakota County residents up to date on the services and resources available from his office. His goal is to serve the public with a balance of quality and efficiency that gives you confidence and pride in the services they provide.

Sheriff Leslie will speak to Farmington Rotary on March 29 at noon at Celt's in downtown Farmington. So pay up your tickets before coming for lunch, or your fellow Rotarians may see a demonstration of how to taser and cuff a perp. That's street lingo for perpetrator, and you don't want that person to be you.

This brings our 2018 donations to date to $11,600. Thank you for all you do for Farmington Rotary. View 2017 donations summary.
Meeting hosts
Don and Jenna are the very capable hosts for our March meetings. It will be their friendly faces smiling at you when you arrive. And April may bring spring showers, but it also brings the reign of Jay and Tom as meeting hosts.

Meeting hosts are responsible for the following:
  • Scheduling speakers for their month
  • Arriving early to set up
  • Giving the meal count to the kitchen
  • Staying late to take down
Meeting hosts for the year are listed in The Source each week. Please review the meeting host responsibilities for complete details. Contact Janie if you have questions.
