March 1 meeting: Students of the Month
Farmington Rotary's March 1 meeting will once again honor some worthy Farmington youth during our monthly students-of-the-month recognition. Cole Stansbury from Farmington High School and Jacob Traynor from Farmington Elementary School are our honorees.

Join us at noon at Celt's in downtown Farmington to hear how these amazing young people so generously give of their time and talents and live out the Rotary motto of putting Service Above Self. Guests are encouraged to attend this inspiring meeting.
501 Club meets at 5:30 Thursday. Don't ask me why.
Ask Kyle Anderson. He is the person responsible for deciding that Farmington Rotary's newly-established 501 Club should meet at 5:30.  But really, is the why important? Probably not. Only the when and where, which is 5:30 this Thursday, March 1, at Bourbon Butcher.

I've heard a rumor that newly-minted Northfield Rotarian Anika Rychner may join us. There may also be a siting of the ever-elusive Nathan Hanson, or perhaps even mystery-Rotarian Tom Severson. You just never know who will show up. Mostly because we haven't done this before. But also because the 501 Club is at a time that may work better for those who struggle to make noon lunches. Or maybe it's because there will be alcohol served. Yeah, it's probably the latter. But whatever gets us there, right?

Feel free to bring your significant other. And remember, the 501 Club counts for the attendance contest (just remember to make note of it on the attendance sheet) and you are paying for your own drinks and food. See you there!
March 8 meeting: Love is in the air
If you missed last week's Source, then you missed my somewhat sarcastic introduction to this week's meeting. Too bad for you. Because this week's meeting information is rather boring. Well actually, I haven't written it yet, so it's possible I'll be wrong about that. I've been wrong about other things before so no one should be surprised, like that outfit I wore to my first toga party in 1978. Yeah, that might have been a mistake.

Anyway, this week we hear how Fab! Weddings and Glenhaven Events can help brides and grooms create their dream wedding day. I don't believe togas are generally involved.
STRIVE
If you mentor for STRIVE, please take note:
  • April 12: STRIVE meets at 11:05 a.m. at FHS
And if you don't mentor for STRIVE but want to learn more, reach out to Jamie and he'll hook you up with the info.

      Ramble Jam in action
It is only through your efforts to support Ramble Jam that Farmington Rotary is able to make a difference in this community and beyond. Farmington Rotary has made the following donations so far this year:
This brings our 2018 donations to date to $12,600. Thank you for all you do for Farmington Rotary. View 2017 donations summary.
      Meeting hosts
It's April and it's STILL snowing. And Jay and Tom are STILL our meeting hosts for the month – not that that is a bad thing, mind you. Annie, Kyle A., Kyle H. and TJ are up in May as meeting hosts, along with the promised spring flowers. Jamie and Steve then round out the 2017-2018 Rotary year as meeting hosts in June.

Meeting hosts are responsible for the following:
      • Scheduling speakers for their month
      • Arriving early to set up
      • Giving the meal count to the kitchen
      • Staying late to take down
Meeting hosts for the year are listed in The Source each week. Please review the meeting host responsibilities for complete details. Contact Janie if you have questions.
