March 29 meeting: Sheriff Tim Leslie
As the 20th sheriff of Dakota County, Sheriff Tim Leslie strives to keep Dakota County residents up to date on the services and resources available from his office. His goal is to serve the public with a balance of quality and efficiency that gives you confidence and pride in the services they provide.

Sheriff Leslie will speak to Farmington Rotary on March 29 at noon at Celt's in downtown Farmington. So pay up your tickets before coming for lunch, or your fellow Rotarians may see a demonstration of how to taser and cuff a perp. That's street lingo for perpetrator, and you don't want that person to be you.
April 5 meeting: Difference Makers
John Crudele is a certified speaker and life coach who helps individuals, teams and companies maximize their potential. John's signature humor and relevant messages empower listeners to find genuine fulfillment, both personally and professionally.

John is also a dedicated Rotarian with the Eden Prairie Morning Club. John believes that Rotarians are difference makers, and that there are difference makers that lead to success.  Join us at noon at Celt's Pub in Farmington on April 5, when John will speak about those difference makers.

Pieper Foundation speaks to Farmington High School athletes
Farmington Rotary donated $1,000 to the Pieper Hope and Challenge Foundation in December, 2017, and on Jan. 31, 2018, Duke Pieper brought his inspirational message to athletes at Farmington High School. Duke's story of having to move beyond a future professional hockey career after life-altering brain surgery at 15 years old is powerful for anyone facing challenges.

Duke used the donation from Farmington Rotary to provide each athlete at his presentation with a copy of his book, "I'm Alive: Courage, Hope, and a Miracle."  The book can also be purchased on Amazon. As one reviewer of Duke's book said, "Life isn't easy for many but the option to persevere is." Duke shows us all what it's like to persevere.
