Abella Childress, is our Feb. Student of the Month. Her mom Stephanie shared in our celebration too. Abella is a poet and artist. As a member of the diversity club and the debate club at FHS, Abella is using her artistic and speaking skills to shed light on problems that BIPOC students face every day at FHS. Abella's counselor, Ms. Afdjei, shared praise from several teachers about Abella's strength of character and her service ethics. Abella truly wowed us all. It was an honor to meet her. Best of luck to her as she hopes for an acceptance to Howard University!

Margie is the district 5960's Foundation Team Lead and will be able to tell us about how larger project funding works within the district. She'll also share what the grant process looks like. This info will help us be better prepared for our club visioning meeting next week.

 

Joy will be helping us with a visioning session. 

 

STRIVE is at the high school. Plan to be at the high school at 10:15am. We will meet with students, 10:25-10:55 a.m. in room 3214.
