Kinsley Kosidowski was our elementary Student of the Month for April!
Kinsley is a 5th grader from Riverview Elementary. When the teachers and counselors were asked to pick a student, they unanimously picked Kinsley. She is described by her teacher as a role model and having integrity. She is always respectful and treats everyone in a kind manor. She was joined by her parents and grandma. They say she is a great kid and a role model to all her younger cousins. Outside of school, she plays piano and oboe. She enjoys playing with her friends and says her family is doing a big road trip this summer. She is thinking of being an elementary teacher when she grows up.
Rachel Blasing was the Farmington March Student of the Month
Rachel's parents and teachers joined us to celebrate her accomplishments.  Rachel's dreams are to one day be a nurse, and she is well on her way to accomplishing that through her heavy involvement in volunteer activities, and through her job as a nursing assistant.
Please join us in congratulating Rachel!
Aiden Bergstrom and his parents, Heather and Eric.  Aiden is a senior at Farmington High School and is a very active musician on campus.  He plays flute and saxophone, and participates in the marching band, pep band, jazz band... his teachers describe him as quiet and thoughtful, ready to consider all sides of a situation, and always willing to pitch in to help out.  Aiden will attend the University of MN in Minneapolis in the fall.

On December 15th, we hosted our annual Senior Holiday Luncheon. Thanks to Synergy Dance Center and the Farmington High School New Dimensions choir for performing!
This is absolutely one of Rotary's favorite events of the year, and we are so pleased to have been able to share this time with our community.
Our January Student of the Month is Brooklyn Green!
Brooklyn is a senior at Farmington High School. She was a new student at Farmington a couple years ago. She now helps new student by giving tours and helping new students find the best way to get from class to class. Ms. Kelly describes her as a wonderful, generous and responsible student who is great at connecting herself and others with resources both at school and outside of the school. She is in the Diversity club at FHS and club leader Mr. Williams says Brooklyn is a beautiful person and will do great things in this world. Next year she will be attending Normandale Community College and then wants to transfer to a 4 year college after that. She is not sure exactly what she wants to do yet but mentioned being an ASL interpreter. In her spare time, Brooklyn works at Bourbon Butcher and babysits. Pictured are dad, mom and little bother.
Zach Dahl was our December Student of the Month!
Zach is a senior at FHS. His football coach introduced him and mentioned that Zach is a good leader on and off the field. He has been involved in Victory Day at FHS. Victory Day allows kids with mental or physical challenges to encounter the "Friday Night Lights" experience. Zach also takes the Unified PE course at school and says that it is the main reason he likes going to school. Next year Zach is playing football (defensive end) at Minnesota State Moorhead. He is unsure of a major but mentioned business or special education. His mom and dad accompanied him today and they are both very proud. They both shed a tear talking about Zach, which lead most of us to also tear up.
