Oh the fun with acronyms.  Seems like every since I got into the financial industry, my life has been filled with acronyms.  Sometimes it feels like a second language.  I wonder if I am considered bi-lingual?  I digress.

We are fortunate to have an amazing speaker, and man for that matter, come and speak with us tomorrow.  Jeff Martinson with 360 Communities is stopping in to speak with us about RFRC.  There is that acronym again.

The Rosemount Family Resource Center (RFRC) is doing some amazing work.  Here is a brief summary of what is going on:

RFRC serves the cities of Rosemount, Apple Valley, Farmington and Lakeville with financial assistance for rent and utilities. The majority of people accessing food are from Rosemount and Apple Valley, although, if a family from anywhere in our service area needs food and it works better for them to access Rosemount that is just fine. With the expansion we will also be able to offer other programming. For example: budgeting classes, homework help, support groups for victims of Domestic or Sexual Violence. These could be open to more than just Rosemount. Natalie, the coordinator at RFRC, also supports that Farmington Food Shelf as their 360 staff person. She helps with training, visits and supports them onsite 2x/month, answers questions and helps them to navigate relationships with Second Harvest Heartland.

There is some other exciting news that I will left Jeff fill you in on.

This will be a great meeting to attend.  See you there!
