Brooklyn is a senior at Farmington High School. She was a new student at Farmington a couple years ago. She now helps new student by giving tours and helping new students find the best way to get from class to class. Ms. Kelly describes her as a wonderful, generous and responsible student who is great at connecting herself and others with resources both at school and outside of the school. She is in the Diversity club at FHS and club leader Mr. Williams says Brooklyn is a beautiful person and will do great things in this world. Next year she will be attending Normandale Community College and then wants to transfer to a 4 year college after that. She is not sure exactly what she wants to do yet but mentioned being an ASL interpreter. In her spare time, Brooklyn works at Bourbon Butcher and babysits. Pictured are dad, mom and little bother.
This meeting starts at 11:30am!! Check out the agenda HERE. We will also be going over the 2023 budget. See the preliminary budget HERE.
STRIVE
STRIVE is every Thursday.
Here are a few details for STRIVE today, Thursday, January 19:
1) STRIVE is meeting with students tomorrow, Thursday, January 19, beginning at 10:20 a.m.; this is a slight time change beginning tomorrow; feel free to start arriving 10:10/10:15 a.m. …. Thank you!
2) STRIVE tomorrow is planning to build on the topic of “Finding Your Why” …. With the help of the school, and Nate, we are planning to share with the students 2 amazing videos …. Last week we invited the students to look deeper into their own stories, what makes them each who they are; how they are discovering and building on their passions … tomorrow we will build on this concept as we continue the valuable journey of self-affirmation, celebrating, and furthering what it is that brings us purpose and joy … we hope you join us!
