THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS
LET'S EARN $15,000!
Thanks to Old National Bank, Farmington Rotary could win $15,000! Visit their website every day between now and Dec. 17 to vote for Farmington Rotary. Each of us can vote once per day. Once the votes are tallied, the top nonprofit vote getter in Farmington gets $15,000. Enter your email address, add Farmington Rotary Club to the nonprofit field, confirm you are over the age of 18 and that's it. Enter every day!
NEXT MEETING IS DEC. 3: New Link
I know, I know, I know... a new link to our meetings seems to happen on a somewhat regular basis. Well, I suppose that is the way of new technology!

There were problems getting in to the Nov. 19 meeting and Barb worked to fix it. Please update your calendar with THIS NEW LINK. The meeting ID is the same – 770 579 8084, but the passcode is new – 827537. I'm told you shouldn't need a meeting ID or passcode, but it's all a mystery to me anyway so I wouldn't guarantee that.

And if all else fails – or it's your preference – you can call in to 1-312-626-6799. I've never done that so I don't know if you really need the 1 on front, so be prepared to test it and be surprised! I love surprises...
HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS
If it's the holidays, and it's Rotary, you know there's stuff going on!
  • Service project opportunities
    • In lieu of our traditional senior holiday luncheon, we will assemble and deliver about 125 gift bags to our senior citizens.
      • Do you have something to donate? Drop that off with Wendy at Premier Bank downtown. Deadline is Dec. 2.
      • The committee will meet after Dec. 4 to assemble and deliver the bags. Email Wendy if you can help.
    • Wendy purchased and delivered gift cards from Farmington Rotary for 360 Communities Armful of Love program. Thank you, Wendy!

  • Changes to meeting dates:
    • Farmington Rotary will not meet on Nov. 26, Dec. 24 & 31. Enjoy the holidays with your family!
    • The December board meeting date is changed to Wed., Dec. 16 from 12-1:30 p.m. on Zoom
TELL YOUR ROTARY STORY
Farmington Rotary is important. But why? Why are YOU a member of this club? Barb suggested that some regular Facebook and website posts from each of us about our "Rotary why" is a great way to promote the club, engage current members and bring in new members. Watch for an email from her about how to submit your "why." No technology skills necessary!
BOARD MEETING RECAP
Your board of directors met Nov. 18. Get the meeting minutes here. These are preliminary for now and will be approved or amended at the December board meeting.
MEETING HOSTS
Note: This practice may be different until meetings are back to our regular format. Check with Nate or Janie if you have questions.

Each Rotarian serves as a meeting host one or two months of the year, and is responsible for working with your co-host to do the following. Check the sidebar on the right for your month to serve.
  • Schedule and introduce speakers for your month
  • Arrive early to set up
  • Greet Rotarians and guests
  • Make sure everyone signs in and chooses a meal
  • Give the meal count to the kitchen
  • Stay late to take down
Please review the meeting host responsibilities for complete details.

Contact Janie if you have questions or a conflict with the month you are assigned.
