JAN. 21 MEETING: David McKnight
Fun awaits one and all on Thurs., Jan. 21 when we can Zoom in to hear Farmington City Administrator David McKnight dish all the dirt on your least-favorite neighbors. At least that's what I imagine he's going to talk to us about. He hasn't exactly said, but it's totally like him to gossip.

Don't let that cute face fool you!

YOUR ROTARY "WHY"
The answer to all of your questions is, yes.
  • Yes, I did this.
  • Yes, I'm sorry.
  • Yes, it's embarrassing.
  • Yes, I had to practice. A LOT.
  • Yes, I wish I could undo it.
And yet, Barb asked for a video – or a photo and a couple of sentences – that she could post on our Facebook page and website to encourage others to consider joining Farmington Rotary. Now, one could argue that my video might have the opposite effect, and I totally get that. But let's face it, we're down to 19 members and we're tired of each other. Oh wait, I mean we want our club to grow.

So, come on. You are WAY MORE influential than I am. Think of the fun that will ensue when we attract new and interesting members! Think of the PR boost we'll get with this campaign. Think of Hollywood – I'm certain they'll call soon!

So here's the scoop: Send Barb a short video, or a photo and a couple of sentences, that speaks to why you joined Farmington Rotary. That's it. Easy peasy. The painful part comes when your friends and family all make fun of you.

Just remember: Be brave. Not perfect.
