FEB. 4 MEETING:
AMAZING GRACE
We could all use a little more grace in our lives. So Zoom in to Farmington Rotary on Thursday, Feb. 4, and hear from Grace Paggen, student representative to Farmington's school board.

If you think Farmington students should get to take their pets to school everyday, this is the meeting you want to attend. Grace can take your request to her next meeting. Trust me when I say she's amazing.
SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER PREDICTED FOR FARMINGTON ROTARY
It's official. Farmington's own Phil-the-Groundhog has declared Farmington Rotary will see at least six more weeks of winter during this winter of our pandemic. My apologies to the great John Steinbeck.

Or did Phil say six more months? Yes, I believe that's what he said. Six weeks is total BS.

In any event, buckle up. Hunker down. Keep your head low. Hang in there. Stock up on toilet paper. Enroll in some virtual counseling sessions.

Honestly, we're all facing a crisis or two as we navigate what it means to be a Rotarian when we can't gather in person. Janie recently sent an email requesting ideas for what we CAN do to gather and support each other. And Lori is planning to zoom with the fundraising committee to brainstorm ideas on how we CAN raise some money to do the things Farmington Rotary loves to do.

Don't despair. Reach out to either of them if you have suggestions! And remember, spring is just around the corner.
HAVE YOU DONE IT YET?
Have you submitted your "Rotary Why" to Barb yet? Everyone is asked to participate in this project to raise awareness and membership for Farmington Rotary. Please send Barb a short video or photo and couple of sentences that explains why you joined Farmington Rotary. What keeps you coming back? What are you passionate about? WHY are you a Rotarian?

Check out this video from Linda if you need a sample to get you thinking.
