Twin Metals Minnesota has spent the past decade working on a project to develop and build an underground mine near the BWCA for the purpose of mining metals critical to our economy, resulting in differing perspectives over jobs and protecting the environment. 

 

Zoom in at noon on Thursday to hear from David Ulrich, a communications consultant for Twin Metals, who will share the project's generational story of future mining opportunities. David is a native Minnesotan, and in addition to enjoying condo life in Minneapolis, he cherishes time at the lake and cabin – pretending to fish while enjoying neighboring deer, eagle and bear. 

 

Meetings to explore a fundraising partnership between Farmington Rotary and Farmington Dew Days continue. At the most recent meeting on April 1, the joint committee decided on a list of events as well as the committee participants. The next meeting will focus on the additional categories listed on the detailed meeting notes.

 

Farmington Rotarians are invited to attend the planning meetings.
